The first thing to warn all owners of triangular roofs is the increased consumption of material due to the design features. During the manufacturing process, special problems, of course, will not arise, but the number of scraps will be quite large. Below we will explain why this happens.
Each sheet is set so that its edge is under the wave of the previous one. The laying direction is selected according to local conditions. When laying on the left, the second, third and all other elements are mounted so that the edge of the capillary groove is under the metal. If the work starts on the right side, then subsequent sheets are stacked on top of the previous ones. The mounting technology itself is supposed to fix the sheets in the area of the ridge for temporary fastening, then alignment is performed. It is carried out either along the eaves overhang, or along an extended cord. The roof covering can be fastened to the crate only after all its elements are in place.
A small protrusion beyond the edge of the cornice is allowed, which is necessary to divert water to special drains located along the edge of the ramp. Fixation of metal sheets is carried out with self-tapping screws.
Stacking sequence
In the event that there are several types of elements available, it is better to start with the largest. They will be located in a wide part of the ramp, and then use 7 and four-wave ones. Of course, other options may apply, however, the method described above is the most optimal. Before starting work, it is desirable to perform a large-scale drawing or drawing of each of the three slopes and try to choose the optimal position of the sheets. This will take some time, but in the future you will be able to achieve much lower consumption and reduce the number of “extra” fragments, which we spoke about at the beginning.
Summing up, let's say that it is not necessary to use sheets of different sizes, because even the same type of product does a good job of this task. The advantage of this approach is that you do not need to think about choosing a method of placing sheets.
